How Do I Self-Exclude From Fair Go Casino?

The one arrangement here built so that nobody, including us, can undo it early.

Updated 17 September 2026

Our responsible gaming page, where deposit limits and self-exclusion are set out.
Short answer

Ask support for the self-exclusion form, fill it in, sign it and send it back. We then freeze the account for the term you chose: a week, a month, a year or permanently. It is re-activated only once the term is up and our management has reviewed the decision.

Before you send the form

  1. Choose the term while you are calmLonger than feels necessary. Nobody has regretted the extra months.
  2. Deal with the balance firstRequest a withdrawal of anything above the AU$100 minimum, and ask live chat how a smaller balance is handled before the account is frozen.
  3. Ask for the formOn live chat at any hour, or by email to support@fairgo.com from the address on the account.
  4. Fill it in, sign it and send it backThe form is an agreement between you and us. The freeze starts once we have it, for the term written on it.
  5. Add the outside controls the same dayThe gambling block in your banking app, and BetStop if you also use betting sites licensed in Australia.
  6. Tell one personA form holds the account shut. A person who knows helps with everything the form cannot see.

Which term?

TermWhat it is forHow it ends
A weekA cooling-off period after a bad run or a stressful stretchThe week runs out and our management reviews the decision
A monthA proper break, long enough to notice the differenceThe same
A yearPlay has become a pattern you want brokenThe same
PermanentlyYou are finished with gambling hereIt does not

Whatever the term, the account is not re-activated before it is up. Support cannot shorten it, move its end date or make an exception, and asking politely or angrily makes no difference. A lock that opens when the person inside asks is not a lock.

What does it reach, and what does it not?

ControlWhat it coversWho can undo it
Our self-exclusionThis accountNobody, until the term is up and the decision has been reviewed
BetStopOperators licensed in Australia, which does not include usOnly you, under the register's own rules
Bank gambling blockCard payments to gambling businesses anywhereOnly you, after your bank's waiting period
Screen time limits on a deviceOne phone or computerWhoever holds the passcode

Ours is the narrowest of the four and the hardest to undo. Pair it with at least one of the others rather than relying on it alone, because an exclusion here does nothing about the next site along. A second account does not get around it either: we accept one account per person, household and IP address, extra accounts are deactivated when they are found, and the exclusion carries on running.

Also asked

Can a self-exclusion be lifted early?

No. The account is re-activated only once the term is up and our management has reviewed the decision.

Does BetStop cover Fair Go?

No. BetStop covers operators licensed in Australia, and our licence is held in Curacao. Use our own self-exclusion for this account, and register with BetStop as well if you use Australian betting sites.

Is closing the account the same thing?

No. A closed account can be reopened on request. An excluded one stays frozen until its term is up.

What if I only need a few days?

The shortest term is a week, and that is what it is for.

Will I still be able to log in?

The account is frozen for the term, so a login will not get you into the cashier or the lobby.
